Heather was born shortsighted so had a limited view of life for her first few years.  Finally someone realised she needed spectacles and she discovered there was a whole new world at the end of the street.  So optometry was the perfect choice of career.  With new technologies and continued education there have been new challenges and the job remains as exciting as it was early on.

When not at work, Heather can be found playing her fiddle with gusto for Scottish dances, exploring the Outer Hebrides and learning Gaelic.
